CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES

I read a lot of material - from a lot of sources – to stay as up to date and informed as I can to ensure I provide the best possible ‘coaching’ I can for my clients.  And I notice a bunch of the articles simply tout how ‘good’ the writer is.  While, I agree that knowledge is the critical link that we – ‘trainers’ – provide, I prefer to rave about how successfully a client applies the knowledge and the progress they make!

After all, remember how challenging starting anything new can be.  Especially if you are recovering from an injury.  (For those of you that have never been really injured, I can not describe the long, drawn out, bone deep, breath taking pain that can last 24/7 for weeks, months or even years….)

So this 'blog' is to celebrate my clients.  Here are the stories of these wonderful people that have become my friends and who continue to both prove - and surprise - me with just how effective “Tai Chi” and “Wu Shu”, or “Integrated Holistic” training truly is….

CURRENT CLIENT SUCCESS STORY

Barbara S – Dana Point - 15 June, 2013

Now here’s a story you have got to love.  Barbara came to me about a year ago with chronic RA that had gradually continued to limit her over a 15 year period.  At this point, she tells me she is completely pain free, has almost full range of motion again, has began to ‘weight’ train, has started to enjoy running again and has been told by her doctor that her RA ‘marker’ is significantly lower!  You know, even to me, I just don’t think it gets any better than that!

Barbara, here’s to you!  Your courage in refusing to quit, as well as your discipline, is an example for all of us….

 PREVIOUS CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES

Steve Stieg - Lake Elsinore – December 2012

Here’s another one of my favor client experiences….  Steve wanted to get back in shape and address a couple of old injuries.    He ended up training with me for about three months.  Then, one Tuesday, after lunch, he suffered a massive heart attack!

Turns out Steve had a primary artery that was 90% blocked and completely failed.  He was rushed into two intensive surgeries within 24 hours.  The amazing thing was that his training was so effective, that he suffered no additional physical damage, from a heart attack that should have killed him.

Here’s to Steve and the fact that he is still out there enjoying life!

 Hi Bob,

Here I Go ...

What can I say about Bob Linzy except, and I quote Bob, “It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”  Well I CONSISTENTLY look forward to working out with Bob.  In fact, I love everything we do – the stretching, strengthening and even doing a little Tai Chi – and I never thought that I would admit to that.

As an aging athlete, who has played competitive sports throughout my life including squash, tennis, 10 Ks and half-marathons, I found that I was noticing a stiffness in my joints that was becoming more pervasive, maybe arthritis?  I never stretched until I was 60 years old and was it too late??   ... of course not.  After working out with Bob, I feel like a new, LOOSE (in a good way) woman.

The most amazing part is that I love and look forward to our meetings because Bob is bright, knowledgeable, positive and just plain entertaining.  And everyone that works with him gets results.

Barbara Shepherd – Dana Point

A note to those of you who think that working out is of no use, or that hate to exercise (me!), or think that if you are hitting 50 that there is "no point"....think again!  Bob made me - in just a few short weeks - a more fit, confident person. He is my cheerleader, my mentor, and my sounding board.  Despite his self-professed "meanie" persona he is a cupcake that will do anything that he can to help his clients get results – safely!  He will cajole, inspire, and use new ways to get results.

Innovative and caring, Bob is the perfect person for those of you who fear being too soft, or too unable to do exercises "correctly".  Bob patiently will explain and guide you through even the most daunting movements.  He will ALWAYS be sure you are safe and comfortable, and will never push you to over-do.  Your health and well-being is very important to Bob, and he won't foist anything upon you that you are not ready for.  I have found him to be an inspiration and his positive reinforcement will keep even the most slug-like of us motivated and engaged.

I recommend Bob Linzy for those of you who think that a personal trainer might be too much for you.  Or for those of you who think that you are "too old" or "too out of shape".  Bob will guide and support you.  His enthusiasm is catching and after each workout you will be looking forward to the next one.

The “…journey of a thousand miles…” starts with a single step....  Take your first step with Bob.  You won't be disappointed.

Another Success Story ~ "look at me now!"

I wanted to thank Bob for what he did for me. My problems where 1. Rotary Cuff Injury...could not use my left shoulder and my arm did not go higher then my waist. 2. My left hip was so bad I almost got ready for a cane...already had one. And 3. my knees gave me problems. I was 55 when I started with Bob and turned 56 a few months later. I did not feel like 56 I felt like 25 on my Birthday...My pain was all gone, I could move and I could "BALANCE" yeah for the first time I had balance like never before. I can do moves I never thought where possible at my age for me! I lost 6 inches on my waist in about 4 months...what else can I ask for...I am very Happy and the laughter we shared was another benefit since lots of laughter shakes that body and you work out even more without realizing it!

BOB YOU CAN WORK MIRACLES IF THE STUDENT IS READY!!!!
